Masao Takamoto


	Masao Takamoto is a research scientist at Quantum Metrology Laboratory in RIKEN in Saitama, Japan. He has been engaged in the research on time and frequency metrology, especially in the development of optical lattice clocks since the early stages. He received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from The University of Tokyo, in 2000, 2002 and 2005, respectively. From 2005 to 2011, he was working as a research associate in the department of applied physics in The University of Tokyo, Japan. Sinc e 2011, he has been working as a research scientist in RIKEN, Japan.
