Jonathan Reinarz


	Jonathan Reinarz is Professor of the History of Medicine at the University of Birmingham. he is based in the Institute for Applied Healthcare Research, where he is Director of a newly-formed team, Social Studies in Medicine, an interdisciplinary group comprising ethicists, medical sociologists, anthropologists and medical historians. he has published on a range of subjects, including the history of hospitals and medical education. His recent books include a history of smell, entitled Past Scents (2014), and (with R. Wynter) Complaints, Controversies and Grievances in Medicine (2015).
