Larissa Figueiredo
Larissa Figueiredo works as a filmmaker, cultural producer and mediator in arts and education. She studied Literature at the University of Brasilia; Film Theory in the Université Lumière Lyon 2, in France, and Visual Arts/Cinema at the Haute École d'Art et Design de Genève, in Switzerland, where she had classes with some contemporary artists such as Miguel Gomes, Albert Serra and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. “The Bull” is her first feature film. It was awarded the Visions Sud Est fund and presented as a work-in-progress in the Carte Blanche section of the 67th Locarno International Film Festival. The film had its World Premiere at the 44th Rotterdam International Film Festival, where it was nominated to a FIPRESCI award. Larissa is now working in the development of her second feature film, “Agontimé”, to be shot in Brazil and Africa. In 2015 she will be teaching at the Graduate Program “Cinema: Processos e Reflexões” at Universidade Positivo, in Curitiba. |
