João Alberto Menna Barreto

João Menna Barreto is sound director and editor. He has studied Social Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and has a degree in Film and Video at the Faculty of Arts of Paraná. The projects in which he has worked have received awards at the film festivals It's All True and Brasilia (Brazil) and Dok Leipzig (Germany). These films were presented in events such the Critics’ Week of Cannes, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Havana, IDFA, Rio IFF an São Paulo IFF. They were shown on TV channels such as Globo and Canal Brasil and several others in Brazil and abroad. In addition to working in films, he teaches classes on documentary at different film schools.
