Julia Buenaventura
Born (1977) in Bogotá and currently lives in São Paulo, Brazil. Art critic and historian focus on Latin American art. She holds a master’s degree in Art and Architecture History from Colombian National University (2007) and her Ph.D degree at Faculty of Architecture from São Paulo University, Brazil (2014). She has taught courses and conferences at: Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá), Malba (Buenos Aires), Universidade de Paraná (Curitiba), Instituto Tomie Ohtake (São Paulo), Fundação Getúlio Vargas (São Paulo), among others. She is a reporter of ArtNexus Magazine (Spanish and English) and her first book entitled “Polvo eres: el correr del tiempo en la obra de María Elvira Escallón” was published by the Ministry of Culture, Colombia, 2015. |
